I am a postdoctoral associate at Baylor college of medicine in the lab of Andreas Tolias. As part of the IARPA funded Baylor MICrONS. Team I am using neurophysiological experiments and machine learning to advance machine intelligence through brain research. Prior to that I was a postdoc in the lab of Jan Benda studying the electro-sensory system of weakly electric fish. I did my PhD with Matthias Bethge. My researcher ID is E-6708-2010. We seek to understand how populations of neurons collectively process sensory input, perform computations and control behaviour. To this end, we develop statistical models and machine learning algorithms for large-scale analysis of neural data, and collaborate with experimental laboratories performing measurements of neural activity and behaviour.
